7 Months!!

My pumpkin is 7 months! I can't believe it. Every stage I love more than the last. She is really starying to get a personality and letting me know when she doesn't like something. When we get in the car she arches her back and whines at me--like mom don't put me in here again. And when I change her diaper she tries to roll away and cries. She is sweet as can be most of the time. She says dadadad...and talks up a storm. She is trying to crawl and gets frustrated when she can't reach something. She loves all of her baby food and is now eating only four times a day! Hooray!! She used to eat every three hours and it felt like we were always feeding her. She loves graham crackers and EVERYTHING else she can get into her mouth:) We just love her to pieces. I dread the day when I have to go back to work. I am going to miss her so much.

Pounding The Pavement for Postpartum Depression-5K

I did it!! I ran a 5K on Saturday morning. I only walked a small portion of the race. My friend Melissa from work urged me to try it. I have been wanting to start training to run a 5K or 10K for a long time. I run outside occasionally and work out at the gym daily so I thought I would give it a try. It was SO HARD!! Running is a complete workout. Thank you Melissa for your support and patience with me. She ran a marathon in May!!! I wanted to do this run because it is for such a good cause. I am now officially training to do another 5K at the end of August and maybe a 10 K in October?? who knows we will see how I hold up.

Enough about me........ the little darling is feeling better and happy as can be. She is quite needy at this point. She wont let me leave the room without crying. and when she sees me she starts to cry and hold out her arms. It melts my heart:) Here is a montage I made for Aubrey and Nelly...they are the BEST OF FRIENDS. Enjoy!

Yeah I can do video!!

I finally figured out how to post video. Here is some moves we have been practicing lately. By the way she is going for my bowl of oatmeal!

First Family Vacation

We had a great time up north this weekend. We stayed at Jeremy's cousins beautiful home on Lake 13. Thanks Danielle and Kevin!! I think Nelly had the most fun--although she wouldn't swim!! She was so chicken. She did spend most of the weekend running along on the shallow water chasing jet skis and boats that went by. Aubrey did very well and enjoyed all the fresh air she got. She had a horrific diaper rash from the antibiotic so the doc said to give lots of air time with no diaper so that's what we did (in case you were wondering why she has nothing on in some of these pics). I enjoyed relaxing and Jeremy enjoyed all the big boy toys they had up there. Oh and today for the first time Aubrey held her own bottle!!! Wow such a big girl. Upon our return from up north Aubrey ran a 101.8 fever and has had one since. I'm not sure what is going on now so we will see. It has been the summer of sickness!!

I hate germs!!!!!!!

So I said I would post about nasty ear infections, etc. Ever since 3 months old Aubrey has been VERY stuffy and nasally sounding. I have taken her to the doctor multiple times. I have even seen an ENT and an allergist. All said its just common infant stuffiness. So we moved on...well what do you know... about 3 weeks ago Aubrey came down with a really bad cold. That night she was up ALL night crying and could only fall asleep and stay asleep for about 20 minutes. She was vomiting everything she ate. It was awful. Our hearts broke to see her so sick and know that we could do nothing in the middle of the night to help her except give lots of cuddles. The next day I took her to the doctor for her 6 month checkup and sure enough she had a double ear infection. YES! Finally we would get a darn antibiotic for this poor child! The constant stuffiness for months must have turned into an ear infection. By the way the doctor says swimming can't cause this type of ear infection. So we were on penicillin for 10 days. After a week Aubrey was still under the weather. Of course she was happy, she is always happy! But I knew by the sound of her congestion and the constant cough she had developed, that things STILL weren't better. So I took her back. Now she has a bad sinus infection and still has the ear infection! So we have been on augmenton for 5 days. She is finally starting to sound better. Poor baby.

I am so disappointed in the doctors...they should have given her an antibiotic after a month of being stuffy NOT 4 months. The doc thinks she has enlarged adenoids as it is kind of rare for a child her age to be SO sick in the summertime. So when she is a year old they will look into removing the adenoids if she is still getting sick constantly.

This has taught me that I still need to be extra careful about germs. I used to have everyone wash their hands before holding her because she was a winter newborn. I got lax with it and what do you know?? I know people say that kids all get sick but it still is awful to see your baby suffer.

On to another note Aubrey...Aubrey weighs 20 pounds 3 ounces and is 27 and 1/4 inc es long! What a big girl!! Have a great week. Here are some new pics.
